The terms that apply when you use mortgagelibrary.ca.
These Terms of Use apply to your use of mortgagelibrary.ca (the “site”), operated by Mortgage Library (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Educational information only
Everything on this site, including articles, guides, the glossary and the mortgage calculator, is general educational information. It is not financial, legal, tax or mortgage advice, and it does not take your personal situation into account. Mortgage Library is not a lender, a mortgage brokerage or a financial advisor, and using the site does not create a professional or advisory relationship with us.
Before making a decision about a mortgage, speak with a licensed mortgage professional, lawyer or financial advisor who can review your circumstances.
2. Referrals and how we are paid
The site is free to use. If you choose to be connected with a lender or mortgage professional through the site, we may receive a referral fee from them. You are never obliged to use a provider we refer you to, and any mortgage or service you obtain is an agreement between you and that provider. We are not responsible for the products, advice or services of third parties.
3. Accuracy
We work hard to keep our content accurate and current, but mortgage rates, rules and lender policies change often and vary by lender and province. We do not guarantee that the information on the site is complete, accurate or up to date. If you spot an error, please let us know at info@mortgagelibrary.ca.
4. Calculators and tools
Our calculators provide estimates based on the numbers you enter and on standard assumptions, such as Canadian semi-annual compounding. Actual payments, costs and approval amounts are set by your lender and may differ.
5. Our content
The articles, guides, graphics, logos and design of this site belong to Mortgage Library or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You are welcome to share links to our pages and to quote short excerpts with credit and a link back. Please do not copy, republish or sell our content without our written permission.
6. Acceptable use
When using the site, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site or its systems
- Interfere with the site’s operation, security or performance
- Use automated tools to scrape or copy content in bulk
- Submit false information or impersonate another person
7. Links to other websites
